Hello Everyone! I am very thankful for the opportunity to serve the El Camino College community as your new VP Administrative Services / Assistant Superintendent. Some other Colleges such as Long Beach City College are offering free money/grant of $1000 to former students for returning. Perhaps if we can offer some sort of incentive to our former students, it will help with our enrollment.

Financial Aid is offering Zero Tuition.

We also charged off all student debt for COVID terms through Spring 2022.

Consider offering more two course sequences in back-to-back eight week sessions?

The Career Advancement Academy (a previous grant) was an excellent CTE job training model - sequenced 8 week courses with a counselor & connections to industry & work-based learning. This was a good model for adult looking for job training in a short amount of time.

It would be great to create some workgroups/subcommittees (as part of Guided Pathways, Enrollment Management, etc.) that would look into proposing recommendations for various areas/topics, such as scheduling, student onboarding, community building, etc. Essentially it would be great to breakdown our overarching institutional goals into yearly priorities
